The 2019 ACMI Annual Conference GLOBAL CAMPUS: Babel or Pentecost will be held in downtown Toronto, Canada June 13-15, 2019. Our venue will be the University of Toronto’s Wycliffe College in an attractive area of downtown Toronto - with local parks, Kensington Market, and Chinatown nearby! The conference verse is Acts 17:26, and its theme is Re-gathering nations; Re-drawing identity, and Re-forming culture. A current list of 2019 conference workshops is now available.
ACMI is glad to be holding its annual conference again in Canada, in the exciting and multi-cultural city of Toronto! GLOBAL CAMPUS will be a truly unique gathering featuring a breadth of staff workers and volunteers, international student ministry leaders, university personnel, and church representatives from across North America and beyond! Dr. Stetzer holds the Billy Graham Chair of Church, Mission, and Evangelism at Wheaton College and serves as Executive Director of the Billy Graham Center there. Stetzer is a seasoned pastor, church planter, and trainer of the same. He also serves as North American Regional Director for the Lausanne Movement. Stetzer has authored a dozen books and is an editor for CT.
Lisa Espineli Chinn
Lisa Espineli Chinn is a leadership and ministry coach, cross-cultural trainer, and missions consultant. She is a staff specialist with InterVarsity/USA, for whom she served fourteen years as National Director of International Student Ministry. Chinn is a sought-after speaker and author of books related to the crucial issue of reentry to the home country of international students.
Dr. Perbi is President of the largest ISM in Canada, International Student Ministries Canada. He also serves as co-chair of the Lausanne Movement’s global issue group for ISM and on the ACMI Board of Directors. Additionally, Perbi is founder and Global CEO of the HuD Group, focused on emerging leadership development and author of many books including Amazon bestseller and ISM-focused Thinking Outside the Window.
Dr. T.V. Thomas is originally from Malaysia and currently serves in Canada as Director of the Center for Evangelism and World Mission. Thomas has served on the faculty of the Canadian Theological Seminary, and as Chair of Evangelism there. He is also Board Chair for several global ministry entities including Ethnic America Network, the Lausanne Movement’s Global Diaspora Network, and Global Mobilization Network.
GLOBAL CAMPUS will also offer four super seminars and two dozen workshops on a variety of ISM-specific topics. These workshops, given by a variety of ISM specialists, are a highlight of ACMI conferences annually. In addition, the conference will feature mini talks on ISM topics and plenty of time for networking with others.
