Abstract: Gilbert Hovsepian's father, Haik Hovsepian, was martyred in 1994 in Iran when Gilbert was 17. He was "persecuted and experienced tremendous pain. But God brought forgiveness and healed my wounds...." He turned some of those "scars into songs about martyrdom, missions, forgiveness, persecution and the cost of discipleship."
