Beau Miller served as International Pastor at Briarwood Church (PCA) in Birmingham, Alabama from 2001-2014. In this capacity he led the Briarwood International Outreach (B.I.O.), the church’s local ministry to international students/scholars and ethnic populations. Dr. Miller is a long-time member of ACMI and has served two terms on the ACMI Board of Directors, having held the offices of Treasurer and Chair.
Beau’s background includes work in the marketplace, in sales and insurance. He also worked for four years on staff with Cru, serving in campus ministry in Oklahoma and Eastern Europe, including outreach to international students. He completed a Master of Divinity (Missions) at Reformed Theological Seminary in Mississippi and a Doctor of Ministry (Global Studies) at Columbia International University in South Carolina. His dissertation topic is A Study of How Local Churches Mobilize to Evangelize and Equip Nearby International Students. Beau has also served on the adjunct faculty of Birmingham Theological Seminary. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), Beau is a member of Chesapeake Presbytery.
Beau and his wife, Tara, are parents of Cole and Phoebe. The family resides in Baltimore, Maryland in the international student rich mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.
Originally from Matthews, NC, Hannah Ocailap is a graduate of Covenant College where she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary Education. After Covenant, Hannah worked with various non-profit organizations and ministries in the Chattanooga, TN area. She and her husband, Simon, then moved to Baltimore, MD in 2017 for him to complete a graduate program and where Hannah began a position in urban youth ministry with a local Presbyterian Church. They also have a one year old daughter, Luci.
